Hollywood Star John Travolta's Wife Kelly Preston Has Given Birth To A Baby Boy
The couple said Wednesday, adding that they were "ecstatic" about the new arrival, Benjamin. The birth on Tuesday comes nearly two years after they were plunged into mourning when their eldest child, Jett, died from a seizure.
The newborn weighed in at 8 lbs., 3 oz. Travolta and actress Preston also have a 10-year-old daughter, Ella Bleu.
The couple "welcomed their third child, a baby boy named Benjamin, this evening, November 23, 2010, at a hospital in Florida" said Travolta, 56, and Preston, 48 in a statement.
"John, Kelly and their daughter Ella Bleu are ecstatic and very happy about the newest member of the family," they said, adding: "Both mother and baby are healthy and doing beautifully."
The couple, who have been married since 1991, were devastated when 16-year-old Jett died during a family holiday in the Bahamas in January last year.
Preston told People magazine in September that the Travolta household had been working hard to prepare for the new arrival."I've been cleaning out everything in the house," she said.
"Ella has been helping too. She's looking forward to being a big sister."
