10 uses for a Swaddling Blanket! xx
Swaddling is the ancient art of snugly wrapping your baby to help him/her feel safe and secure. Mothers have swaddled their babies throughout history as it keeps babies from being disturbed by their own startle reflex. Swaddling can also help when they are over stimulated. Stop swaddling once your baby is about a month old, because, after that, it may interfere with his mobility and development.
For many new mothers they are aware of the benefits of swaddling their babies when they are new borns, especially when they are coming home from hospital, they know their baby looks gorgeous in it, but they just don’t know what to do with them when baby grows out of it…
Well here at Huggababy we want to introduce you to the many uses for that snugly swaddling blanket as possible. After all, the amount of money you will be spending on your little one you are going to want to make things last as long as possible and really get your use out of them.
1.Swaddle your baby! (Of course).
2.A lightweight change matt for when you are out and about!
3.A bib.
4.A soft wrap after bath time.
5.Simply fill the pouch area with wadding and stitch straight across the binding to create a soft cushion with comforting arms.
