Huggababy Testimonials - What Our Happy Customers Say
Here are just a few of the many testimonials we receive on a daily basis from our very happy customers and we thank you all for taking the time out of your very busy lives to write to us about your experience of the huggababy sling.
Thank you so much for my new sling. My baby girl smiles the second I put her in the sling :-) Christina
Received the sling today - Baby James was a little concerned at first but after a few trials he snuggled down quite happy! Now I can get on with my housework!! LOL!
The goods arrived this morning. Lovely to see that there are companies with first class service. The items are gorgeous."
Thank you for the prompt reply - that's great. I'm not sure anyone could love a huggababy sling as much as me but I'm sure between us we can convince my friend! It is the best thing that I have ever bought and my babies seemed to agree
‘I just wanted to let you know what a great carrier the Huggababy is. I have just spent a month in Australia and used mine to carry my daughter who is nearly three everywhere. It was very much admired by other parents (particularly those with buggies!!). It is not often that you manage to buy a product that is better than you would imagine but made the airport stop overs very easy with being able to still wear a ruck sack and made all the trips in Australia very easy also. The other big plus was that even in the extremely hot weather (up to 48 C) it was still really comfy to wear.
Many thanks from a very settled child and a very happy parent!'
‘Having been delighted with our huggababy it's been used for three children and is still going strong, I've lent it to a friend to try, but unsurprisingly (in a house with three under five's) I've lost the instructions and was hoping you could email/post replacement ones to give her confidence with it, so she can get her own and I can have it back!’
‘A quick email to let you know that I have recieved the lambskins today, and as usual, they look beautiful!’
‘Just wanted to say Thank you for your fantastic service.
Goodies arrived today...thank you very much, we love our parcel!’
Just wanted to drop a quick line while my beautiful three week old daughter (not so beautiful at 1, 2.15, 3, 4 and 6 this morning…!) sleeps.
I purchased a Huggababy sling in groovy red (as you can see) back in February. Initially, I tried it before she was born (with some teddies!) and had a few problems. The big bump didn’t help, nor did the fact there was no weight in the sling…..
However, last week I tried it with Edie as a newborn. She had screamed all day (she is having to take antibiotics and they upset her stomach) and I was rather at the end of my tether. I picked up the sling in desperation. The second she was put in it she stopped screaming and fell asleep! It was simply like magic! I was speechless!
Since then – Edie sleeps in it during the day, I can actually put her down on the sofa (still in sling, naturally!) and have a cup of tea. She has been shopping in the sling this includes to Tesco’s to do a food shop (anyone with a newborn knows what a difficult job this is…) And a few days ago I had supper in the local pub garden with a sleeping baby in the sling and free hands!!!! I haven’t tried breastfeeding with it yet but only a matter of time!
So, my point is – THANK YOU THE HUGGABABY IS FANTASTIC!!! It really does work like magic. I still feel close to her and not like I am carrying a ‘back-pack’ like some other slings. The sling really works, is well designed, comfortable for the user and Edie loves being in it. She looks comfortable instead of her arms and legs dangling and it looks great too (a bonus!)
Thanks again from a happy new-mum (now could you wave your magic wands and let me have some more sleep……?!)
Kind Regards – ‘
Having re-read my original message I just wanted to add that literally a few weeks after I sent it I did indeed breastfeed with Edie in it whilst walking up the highstreet!
Edie was 5 weeks old at the time and I couldn’t find a wall, bench or café so I could sit down and feed so I out her in the sling and, as I was due at the solicitor’s office as we were moving house, kept on walking! It was totally discreet and very comfortable. I even managed to push the buggy with the other hand! I did this often as the need arose on quite a few occasions after that.
An update……
Edie is 11 months old now and I am still using the Huggababy. As a non-driver I use public transport almost everyday and unfortunately our buses are not accessible for wheelchairs or buggies. I pop Edie in the Huggababy before I leave the house and carry the buggy with the other hand. Edie loves it as she can sit on my hip and look around but when sleepy I can easily change her position and she falls asleep in it! IT really has been the best baby related item that we purchased. Both my husband and I use it – he mows the lawn with Edie in it! My sister-in-law borrowed it to take on holiday and carried around my (fairly robust!) 20 month old niece so I know that we have a fair amount of mileage to go with it yet!
The Huggababy has been a very sound investment (and not really an ‘investment’ as it is really good value for money!) It saved our sanity as new parents as in those very early days it was the only way Edie would sleep and, as she has grown it has adapted to her needs. The final plus point is that both my husband and I enjoy using it and we always get very positive comments when we ‘wear’ it in public!
Almost a year on, I can only re-iterate my original comments – the Huggababy is fantastic!
I really cannot imagine how I managed without a Huggababy, and the longer I have it, the more I love it. For around the house and popping out to the shops, it is invaluable. Kate (James, 7 months)
The Huggababy is all we need - we don't own a pram. Everywhere we go, people comment on it, on how comfortable Lily looks, and what a good way it is to travel. Michelle (Lily, 8 months)
I am delighted with my new Huggababy Sling. There are so mny times when Jimmy wants a cuddle and I have other things I want to do. Now he can even breastfeed on the move whilst being carried this way! Happy mother, happy child! Margaret (Jimmy, 18 months)
The first time I tried the Huggababy, I was amazed at how natural it felt. I know Sally feels secure and comfortable, because she never cries while being carried around in it. If every mother had the opportunity to try one, I'm sure many pram manufacturers would be out of business. we are so thrilled with our Huggababy, I can't stop raving about it". Sarah (Sally, 5 months)
Today was my lucky day! The postman delivered my Huggababy. Now it is here and it's just perfect. Hope you did not send another one already. I already carried my son in it today and it's just as good as I expected. Thanks again for all your efforts.
The one thing I really couldn't have done without over the last six months is my Huggababy sling. It looks like the kind of sling you wear when you've broken your arm, only bigger. The great thing about it is that, if Rose is asleep, I can pick her up, slip her into the sling (there are no straps or buckles to do up), go and pick Elsie up from nursery and then lay her back in her cot, all without waking her. Now she's older, she also enjoys sitting up in it and peering around at the world. To find out more go to: http://www.babycentre.co.uk/baby/buyingforbaby/knowhow/martinesmusthaves/
Hello there. I'm Martine, one of your BabyCentre editors. I'm mum to Elsie, four, and I've just come back from maternity leave after having Rose, who's now six months. She was born at home (on the bathmat to be precise) after a quick, natural labour. I'd like to share some of the baby items that have made life easier for me since Rose was born, plus a few I thought were a complete waste of time and/or money.
Whilst visiting the Birmingham Baby Show, Flying Start's product reviewer, Lucy Henderson trialled the Huggababy sling. This natural organic sling looked very robust and slightly different to some of the others currently on the market. The interesting fact that caught our eye with this sling was the discreet feeding position in which baby could be carried, and as we had our constant little feeder with us, the show was the ideal location to trial one of these. The owner of Huggababy was more than happy to offer us one for testing there and then. When Charlie awoke, Lucy fit the sling and put Charlie into it. As with any product a bit of adjusting was required until the straps were the correct size for Lucy to carry Charlie, but he was soon happily feeding away. This is when we found just how discreet the feeding position was – you could not tell that Charlie was being fed at all as Lucy walked round the show. Once he had finished feeding he popped his head up and looked around, happy as could be in his new little hammock. Walking round the Baby show was another great tester for comfort and we found that the sling did not cause any discomfort what so ever. So our verdict: A simple, robust comfortable and versatile adjustable sling, ideal for discreet and practical breast-feeding and machine washable too, giving it a ten out of ten.
Since the show, this is what Lucy has had to say about using the sling on a day-to-day basis:
Once home, I have found the huggababy sling to be invaluable. In addition to Charlie, I also have three year old Niamh, who was getting increasingly bored with Charlie taking ‘too long’ to feed. Whilst using the sling I can make lunch, play games and even visit the park, whilst Charlie happily feeds away and Niamh gets her mummy back. Not only has it been useful for feeding, but doing the nursery school run and popping to the shops, meaning I no longer have to keep getting the big pram out of the boot. Even my anti-sling husband is impressed; although he’s still not "new man" enough to wear it. Shame, because Brad Pitt looked great wearing one, but I don’t think even the huggababy could perform miracles and turn the other half into Brad Pitt!!. For any breast-feeding mother with other children, I would say it’s an essential must have. For first time mothers or bottle fed babies, it would still be very useful, due to the various positions and it can grow with your child. http://www.flyingstartmagazine.co.uk/flying_start_articles/131
A woman walked into the bookstore today and had this amazing, really comfortable looking ring sling. It is made in the UK and is called "huggababy" (Not hug a bub!!!!) It just looked so well designed , it had a wider shoulder strap which extended all the way around the back and it held the baby really well in the cradle position but left them open so the could see you and didn't have fabric over their face which I hate in the Queensland heat! Anyone know where I can get one in OZ? I'm panting for one - see www.mumsnet.com/Reviews/BabySlings/6?off=25&rank_rev_by=0
My baby became 8 kg at 6 months so that I cannot help holding my baby without Huggababy. I always thank Huggababy for this. Originally I bought this Huggababy for my baby's newborn period. I thought after she can sit up by herself I won't need to use it and can switch to another carrier. But I was completely wrong. Since I can feel my baby so close, that brought a happy feeling not only to my daughter but also to myself. I recognized that holding my baby satisfies me much more than I expected. Thanks
I might have a problem if I didn't find this Huggababy. My baby sleeps peacefully all the way home even on my first day to use Huggababy. Wonderful
As soon as I received the Huggababy, I started using it. People ask me about the Huggababy sling wherever I go. This is really comfortable, and can be used as a cushion while baby is sleeping. More than anything, I'm always happy to be able to see my baby's expression
Thank you very much. Me and my husband are crazy about this because it's so comfortable
People will find the Huggababy sling in the end! I had been trying different kinds of slings for a while; I wish I had known about this Huggababy first.
Great! Thanks a lot!!
I still have no idea why I couldn't enjoy using a sling before. After receiving Huggababy, I gained a lot more confidence and can enjoy going out with my baby. I attended my brother's wedding reception the other day, everything went well with the Huggababy. Thank you very much
As the 4th sling, I finally found the best sling for me! The wonderful point about Huggababy is that it fits us comfortably and we can keep a high position without any adjustment. I am impressed how comfortable it is. Even though it doesn't look different from others I would say this is the most complete sling with rings style.
I can't survive without Huggababy with my 3 months, 9kg baby! I had been suffering from pain on my wrist and lower back every day until I got this Huggababy sling. Now I'm released from those problems and I can enjoy holding my baby. So does my husband. I love to watch my baby fall into sleep in the Huggababy peacefully everyday. My friend bought it, too. Thank you very much once again.
